The head is inserted into the line with a line stop actuator. When the pivot wheel contacts the bottom of the pipe, the head and sealing element roll into position and create a seal, allowing you to perform work downstream.

How the TBL-ACT Plugging Hydraulic Cylinders Works

The TBL-ACT Hydraulic Cylinders temporarily isolate a pipeline section for maintenance (repairs or additions) without shutting down the line. The Hydraulic Cylinders are used with the corresponding housings and plugging heads according to the diameter of the line and covering a 4” to 48” range with different control bar reach. The High Pressure Plugging Hydraulic Cylinders have a control bar with a direct reading scale and sight hole enabling indication and control of the progression of the plugging head. Operation is made easy by way of the position of the control valve situated at the lower end of each Plugging Hydraulic Cylinders.
